Manicure of the moment #1

Those who know me will say that I have way too much nail varnish than I need and, I completely agree with them but what I fail to understand is why they don't share the same delight in using a new nail varnish for the first time (honestly it completely baffles me)

In order to try to convince the world that completely unnecessary amounts of nail varnish is the way forward, I have decided to dedicate a series on my blog purely for this.

This moment's manicure is one that I rarely wear as it's one that completely depends on the mood I'm in and how tanned I am, but as it's a new season (and I'm still a little tanned from summer.. or so I like to think) I decided to give this look a go!

The finished result
Revlon Colourstay - Bare bones
Barry M - Rose Quartz Glitter

It probably won't take long for me to change this look up but for now this is what I'm going with!

I hope you have a great week!

Nothing beats the joy of a new mascara

In the past I have struggled to find a mascara that really works for me. I have quite sensitive eyes which sometimes don't take too kindly to having things put on them and when they start getting sore I decide that it may be time for a few days makeup free *winge over*. As a lover of makeup you can imagine my delight when I found a mascara that doesn't flake, doesn't smudge, doesn't clump, voluminises my non voluminous lashes and doesn't hurt my eyes, yes you guessed it, I was pretty darned delighted.

It turns out that according to my mum, I have tried this before and raved about it but for some reason it is only just making it onto the blog *she slaps hand*. The mascara that I am blabbering on about is of course nothing new but it is definitely worth the mention and that is the Clinique High Impact Mascara.

I love this mascara and I can tell already that when my itsy bitsy sample size runs out (not dries up, I haven't found drying out a problem!) I will be trundling on down to boots in order to pick myself up a new one.

Without Mascara (Lashes pre-curled)
As I have mentioned before, it doesn't flake off at the end of the day as do most mascaras, but it lasts all day and can even cope with a top up around 5 'o' clock and still be going strong at 11pm! I also have the worst donkey lashes known to womankind, they are stick straight and have virtually no curl. I have found however that they hold whatever curl I have managed to induce on them through the use of an eyelash curler for as long as I need it to last when I use this mascara. BINGO!
With Mascara (Lashes Pre-Curled)

Anyway, enough rambling on from me as I am sure you have much better things to be doing than listening (reading) to me drone on about mascara!

Enjoy the rest of your week,
